A rare treat, low-altitude clouds and mist shrouded our hike in secrecy. On Jan 24, 2004, Five soles braved the chill and fog to reach the saddle. Weavers Needle was completely hidden from view when we first arrived. A little patience though, and we were afforded a few glimpses while taking a lunch out on the ridge. By the time we headed back down, the mists had begun to clear. |
