The December 6th hike to Quartz Peak in the Sierra Estrellas was led by Chris and Beth.
10 braved the rigors of a constant grade almost all of the way to the top. We faced multiple attacks by malicious cholla cactus buds and the fierce elements - 80 degree weather in December !
The gorgeous quartz summit was so enjoyable, we hung out there for almost 2 hours lunching and checking out the view!

After the hike, Beth and Chris hosted a Kick-Ass (tm) barbeque - just what everyone needed after such a grueling day! (Thanks for the hospitality, hope we didn't scare your neighbors!)
