Eight soles assaulted the scorched earth of Smith Ravine on May 1st, 2004.
We forged ahead, despite coming under heavy fire from marksmen sight unseen. For shame, the glittering gold of the lost mine eluded us. Nevertheless, we branded the hike a success and toasted the grand days events over a tasty mexican feast.
