Malcolm’s Farewell Hike and Happy Hour Horton Creek Trail

Please join us on Malcolm’s final hike with the Wandering Soles before returning to Ireland.  Since the heat may be getting to this Irishman, we have decided to do the relaxing and moderately challenging Horton Creek Trail.  Besides the lush landscape of the Payson mountain area, Horton Creek rewards its hikers with an amazing gushing spring. The trail follows the creek for some cool respids. (Details on next column)

Start Elevation: 5468 ft
Elevation Gain: 1183 ft
Distance (RT): 6 mi
Drive Time: 2 hr
Meeting Place/Time: 7:00 am Pyle Recreation Center, or at Shea and Beeline Hwy 7:45 am at the Human
Water: Bring at least 3 liters of water
Special Instructions: Hat, Sunscreen, small towel, lunch and snacks. Dinner/appetizer happy hour get together back in Phoenix. Details TBA and all are invited to attend. More to come in further emails.
